Do you ever feel like cake is just lacking a little bit? It can be a little plain, sometimes dry. But this Tres Leches Cake will change your opinion on cake.
I’ll get right to it. This cake is my favorite. The flavors of the sweet milk, the moisture, the cream. It’s just the perfect combo. This will be a recipe that will be a hit!

Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup regular milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 12 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- Toppings: whipped cream, cinnamon, strawberries
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 cake pan.
Combine sugar, eggs, 1 cup milk, vanilla. Mix well for 7-8 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
Bake cake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool & then poke holes in the cake with a fork.
In a bowl combine heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk & evaporated milk. Once mixed, pour over the cake.
There will be quite a bit of liquid, after a few minutes it will soak into the cake.
After all the liquid absorbs, top with whipped cream, sprinkle with cinnamon and add some strawberries if you’d like.
Make a couple hours or even a day ahead so the cake has plenty of time to soak up the milk!
